?? Playing Monopoly Live
The original Monopoly Live by Evolution is a live casino game streamed straight to your computer or mobile. There is a spinning wheel with 54 sections that the host rotates to see how much money is earned each round. Players place their bets on which denomination of banknote the spinner will land on, and there are also Chance segments and dice icons that will trigger a bonus round on the Monopoly board.
The minimum bet is £0.20, and players can place their wagers on one or more of the following segments:
- £1
- £2
- £5
- £10
- 2 Dice Rolls
- 4 Dice Rolls
If the money wheel stops on a segment you bet on, or Chance, you’ve won! Each bank note returns a different percentage of your original bet, and the chance card will show either a random cash prize or a random multiplier bonus game on your next spin. If the Chance card shows a multiplier bonus, all player bets remain in place, and the game host then spins the wheel again. Multiplying can happen more than once, for example if the wheel lands on Chance a second time then the multiplier is cumulative with the first, so if we see a 10x card followed by a 5x card any wins on the next spin would be multiplied by 50!
Here is the likelihood of the wheel stopping on each of the possible sections:
Monopoly Bet | Odds to Win | Average Pay Out | RTP |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 41.7% | 1 to 1 | 92.9% |
2 | 27.8% | 2 to 1 | 96.2% |
5 | 13.0% | 5 to 1 | 91.3% |
10 | 7.4% | 10 to 1 | 96.23% |
2 Rolls | 5.6% | Up to £500,000 | 93.9% |
4 Rolls | 1.9% | Up to £500,000 | 93.7% |
Chance | 3.7% | Random | -- |
When the money wheel stops on 2 or 4 ?? Rolls, it activates the bonus round. Mr Monopoly will head down to the classic monopoly board and start playing the game. Dice rolls are done in the Live Studio and Mr Monopoly runs around the 3D board collecting prizes when he lands on a corner squares. If you’re lucky, you can get up to a 200x random multiplier bonus from this round.
The 3D board has all the locations we know and love from Old Kent Road to Mayfair, and the non-property spaces including Super Tax, Community Chest and Go To Jail. If Mr Monopoly lands on Go to Jail, the host needs to roll a double to get him out of there!
Odds of Winning & RTP
The exact return to player RTP of Evolution Gaming Monopoly Live and its odds of winning depend on how you bet. However, on average, the return to player RTP is around 93% making its odds of winning similar to slots and slightly lower than live casino table games like Live Blackjack or Lightning Roulette which has a high RTP of 97.30%.
?? Monopoly Live Big Baller
The latest edition to the range of Monopoly casino games is Monopoly Live Big Baller by Evolution. Like the classic Monopoly Live casino game this is streamed from a studio with a real life host and augmented reality Mr Monopoly running the ship.
Instead of a wheel of fortune mechanic this game is a totally new bingo-style game show. Players choose 1-4 cards, with 25 spaces on each. Once the bets are made these spaces populate with numbers from 1 to 60 like a normal bingo card. When placing their bets players can pick the card to be either a Free Space Card or a Chance card which have different odds of winning.
- Free Space card: The middle cell on the card is a “free space”. This is filled in with a red circle or daub as though the number has already been drawn, increasing the chance of completing one of the four lines that run through it.
- Chance card: The middle cell is a multiplier, giving the chance of bigger wins.
Once all bets have been placed Mr Monopoly will pull a lever and place random free spaces and multipliers on your cards. The multipliers become active when a ball is drawn that matches this number and there are three different types of multiplier:
- Standard Multiplier: pays out on any line containing this number
- Line Multiplier: pays out if you win this line
- Global Multiplier: pays out for every line completed on this card
After the free spaces and multipliers have been added to the cards the host starts the ball drawing machine and 20 numbered balls come out. If the number on the ball matches one of the spaces on your cards then that is daubbed, or completed. Fill in a whole line horizontally, vertically or diagonally and you win!
The Monopoly Big Baller Bonus Game takes place if the 3 Rolls or 5 Rolls cards have been filled. Three unique numbers need to be drawn for the 3 rolls and 4 for the 5 rolls, and if both cards are completed two separate bonus rounds will take place.
If you have also placed a bet on the 3 or 5 roll winning card then your win will be increased by the multipliers that Mr Monopoly collects as he travels around the 3D board. Each property that he lands on with a dice roll will add another multiplier, and these are bigger for spaces with randomly assigned houses and hotels on them. When Mr Monopoly passes “Go” all the prizes on the board will be doubled!
?? Tips and Gaming Strategy
Monopoly Live strategy is simple. While most players bet randomly, for the optimal strategy, you should bet on the highest return to player RTP segment, which would be 2. Then, if you wish to go for a big win, add in Monopoly features and a wager for either 2 Rolls or 4 Rolls. The exact RTP of the bonus game is unknown. However, considering that rolls of the dice can lead to situations where Mr Monopoly collects prize multipliers (up to 200x multipliers), it’s no wonder players bet on this money wheel feature heavily, and we agree with this tactic. Although, the player’s bets should be modest wagers on ROLLS segments as they are less likely to hit.
You can further boost your odds of winning by getting a deposit bonus. An excellent live online casino will either multiply your first deposit or offer you instant cash back for any losses. Both of these bonus options will increase the odds of you winning a pile of cash from this Evolution Gaming Monopoly Live board game.
Responsible Gaming
Monopoly Live can be addictive, just like any other casino game. In case you have serious concerns about your gambling habits, you can also contact the online casino you’re playing at. Nowadays, customer support works 24/7 to provide services for British online players. You can experience Monopoly live game in a safe and secure casino environment at every UK casino site that offers this classic board game by Evolution Gaming.
?? What Makes this Casino Game Unique
This popular online game is based on Evolution Gaming’s older Dream Catcher casino game. The host of the game spins the 54-segment money wheel, and if the Monopoly Wheel lands on your chosen segment, you win. This game’s £500,000 maximum win of its 3D bonus round rivals that of the biggest progressive jackpot slots online.
It adds a great Monopoly feel to the proceedings with Monopoly themed money wheel and augmented reality 3D Mr Monopoly. Computer created 3D Mr Monopoly sits on a couch next to the host of the game, but jumps up when the random multiplier bonus reaches high numbers and big wins are imminent.
Evolution Gaming is taking live casino gambling to the future in comparison to the classics, like live roulette and live blackjack. You should also try Evolution Gaming’s other great games, like Dream Catcher, or Crazy Time Live.
